My auto trans started doing the same thing. Then it would not move at all. The shop (that I trust) rebuilt it and said the only thing wrong was that all the seals had dried up. Are you certain you used the correct fluid when you changed it. I have not used synthetic in my tranny, but I have heard it provides a lower stall speed and may buy you some time if you are developing problems. The starter problem is common. I installed a relay (from the Bus Depot) in the starter circuit. It now cranks instantly when turning the key. In fact, I now turn the key to the run position and wait for the fuel pump to pressurize the system before I crank it.
