Greg, On my '90 westy, on the original poptop mosquito net, there is a zipper on the top and the bottom. (Often overlooked.) The sides are fastened with velcro. It's a snap to take it out. It's also easy to find zippers in fabric stores that will fit the zipper part sewn on the poptop. Don't know about the '85, but could be the same.
