I posed this same question to the group a couple of months ago. Went ahead and pulled all of the molding strips this past weekend. The stuff was so brittle that it flew off everywhere when it snapped! Does look much better, but I did decide to leave the windshield molding in until I get something to fill in the gap, just in case.

Have seen some bulk-rolled molding in the J.C. Whitney catalog (chrome & black), but haven't any experience with it.

Eventually I'll get the euro-type kit from Bus Depot and replace em all.
