Well, Coyote . . . I mean, Ron : ) I guess mine were a bad batch. Perhaps "early" dry rotting (is there such a thing?) is accelerated by tires sitting more often they are used; i.e., rolling around on tarmac and concrete. But really, I wasn't kidding about the tires, and I am not against Hankook, and really don't have any opinions about them except to report my one and only experience. I was surprised and disappointed with what I perceived as a ridiculously short life expectancy of the bias-ply trailer tires. They were also *extremely* difficult to mount. They wouldn't hold air at the bead of the rim. My installer was throwing fits! They kept bubbling out, more or less, and he had to tie a rope very tightly around the whole tread of the tire to mash it inwards toward to the center of the wheel. Every single one. Took him over an hour while I stood there and fussed on why he was taking so dern long. What was he doing to me, charging by the hour???? Oy! Anyway, he got through it. I paid him $1 per tire because it inconvenienced me so much.

Come to think of it, maybe he sprayed some SuperFast DryRot stuff on them when I went to the bathroom . . .
