Classic Temp Sensor II symptoms... Might just be a dirty or corroded connection. Clean the plug and pins with quality contact cleaner.

The sensor is the next to the water pump, the one with two wires.

Strike one! In my on going battle with my 84' westy.

Symtoms:

1) Gas milage: 13mpg 2) BUCKING on the highway like it's going out of style. Will pull over to reset. And will run fine. 3) When first started up in morning will idle for about 2 min (very well) then suddenly start choking and engine will cut out.

Solutions:

1) I installed an air flow adapter cable to see if this would clear up my BUCKING! Didn't work.

I am ready to start replacing parts.

What should I replace? I know I should check the grounds. (where are they located?)

Going to Canada for a week of camping next week. Need to resolve ASAP.

thanks

Justin 84' Westy Vermont
