Idid just that before mountig the Agilis tires. Hand sanded the wheels ,mostly down to the primer and then used a wheel-specific paint and a couple coats of clear coat. i think that was a mistake, Overthe years the paint has held u[p marvelously, but the wheel color has yellowed some, llikely the clear coat, but not sure.
