Hello all. My Right Honorable Friend Alan Watts posted a few days ago that he and I are trying to get the Austin, Texas area (60 mile radius?) listmembers together for a little pachanga. We're not trying to plan a large scale swap meet/car show!

So, if you live in or around Austin and you'd like to get together and talk story about your Vanagon and drink some beer one Saturday, drop either one of us a line.

Hopefully we'll see you soon!

Any fellow Austin-area vanagoneers out there?

I met Jim Bowen, a fellow listee, last week (nothing like sweating in a texas parking lot admiring vanagons!) and we talked about having a drive-in barbeque when it cools down to manageable temperatures (and so everyone makes it without overheating!). So if you're around Austin and are interested, let me know...I've seen lots of vanagons around town and I would like to meet the person behind the wave!
