Easy big guy!

We will share and let you in on it. EKTA is some German acronym for Online Parts catalog program or something to that nature.

This is a CD used by the VW dealers to lookup parts for our beloved vehicles. It covers all from the old Bug to the New Beetle. It covers our Vanagons and Syncros too. Although I have not seen anything from South Africa on it..... Anyone prove me wonnng?

About a year ago someone got a hold of one and made copies for listmembers who requested it. It cost $5.00 US buckaroos for the handling shipping ect. Not for the copyrighted VW stuff which I'm sure they would poopoo if they knew we were sharing that.

There are restrictions, technically in launching this and making it run on your IBM compatible PC (there was some chatter about MACs too)

Anyway it requires a monitor capable of going all the way.... to 1280 by 1024. Which makes everything else very small. It is an ugly interface but it wont get hit by melissa or red worms like the other Bill Gates crap. Some of the help and icons are in German and loosely translated to English.

Anyway someone on the list will probably still have copies of this available. Unfortunately I cannot make copies or I would gladly offer it to you'all.

Cheers,
