Subject: NEED HELP!! <-- hybridizing my vanagon
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I have yet again succumbed to the temptations of trying to do what has not been done very often, and hopefully will be done with gleefull abandonment in the future.

I am going to "put" a small diesel engine (or maybe just a harley big v) in the van mate it to a generator and an electric motor and "make" a split-drive type hybrid vehicle.

for more info about the sort of drivetrain i am leaning toward, please visit the following websites:

www.powertrain.se

mae.ucdavis.edu/~futurcar/Coulomb/

the only difference would be the batteries would be constantly recharging as in the first websites design.

oh well, it is really early in the morning, and i should be goin to bed shortly, but if any of you dudes/dudettes have any info, money, people that i should talk to, money,..... j/k

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks, -sudhir
