That single drip will grow,. It's a fairly easy one to change if you change your oil at the same time.

1. Drain oil 2. Remove oil filter 3. Remove threaded pipe that holds filter on, should be about hand tight after you loosen the retaining nut 4. Oil cooler will drop right off 5. Replace little hose that goes into cooler (I suspect the leak is there or at o-ring) 6. If you still have the original O-ring behind cooler REPLACE IT! I think there is a newer mode to it but not sure if it applies to an 85' 7. Replace cooler w/ new o-ring and pipe with nut 8. Put new oil filter on and refill engine with 4.7 qts. (approx) of oil (I prefer Castrol 20-50) 9. You'll probably have to top off the coolant and bleed the system depending on how much you loose during the process

Total time: .75 hrs my time or 2.5 weeks mechanic time @ $60/hr. :)

Good luck,

Sometimes, my van leaves a single drip, and it comes right off the bottom of the oil filter, and it seems to be coming from a bolt that holds the water pump on, a little bit above the filter. But anyways, where should I look for this s-pipe and it my single drip going to be a problem? It has been having one single drip every now and then since last summer, but I would like to fix it if I can find the cause. Also, I do not have any trouble with overheating, or with the coolant level, and my van is working treat, except for marking it's territory sometimes. thanks for any info, Kim 85 GL
