Overfilling the overflow coolant tank (behind the the licence plate) will not cause any damage to the van. There are three small holes on top of that tank and if & when the coolant tries to go from the primary tank to the overflow tank it will just push coolant out the top of the overflow tank holes (this will harm the environment). This happened to me once on over-heating.
