Subject:   Alternator Bracket Studs - The Final Chapter

Well, gang, I am about to go out and refit the lower alternator bracket on my 85 Westy. I never was able to remove the stud on the right side. (You will recall, they were both broken off, but I was able to remove the one on the left.) Since I have no reason to believe that these bolts weren't broken off when I acquired the vehicle, I'm going to chance it by mounting the alternator with just one bolt on the bottom bracket and the one bolt on the upper bracket.

Don't know how I can get the other one out without dropping the engine, and I'm not really equipped to do this.

I'll watch it like a hawk and hope for the best.
