Nah.

It is powered by a 2056cc (71mmx96mm) race-balanced type4 motor with a counterweighted crank, and cc:d heads. If you are facing a rebuild in the near future, don't skimp on the balancing/cc:ing. Our motor noise/vibration has dropped significantly.

One other note... Knowing THEN (during rebuild) what I know now, I would have stroked the motor rather than blowing out the bore. 78mm x 94mm makes for a very reliable, VERY torque-y, very reliable type 4 motor. Check out Jake Raby's www.aircooledtechnology.com When I have an extra $3,500, I'll swap out, and sell this motor. No time soon... suspension springs, A-arm bushings, and shocks come first. Once the stock market turns around, sometime in 2003.

Your Westy is powered by a Mazda engine?
