Oh... one more thing...

Stuff that fits the SA hitch plate:

If you go to

http://catalog.roversnorth.com/catalog/large.taf?id=lesloftseries

You will see the "Tow Jaw and Pin Assembly" for $39. Click on "IMAGE" to see what it looks like. Cool, eh? This is a direct bolt-on - no, no modifications required - and could be used as-is for various duties, or could be fitted with a screw-on ball of the appropriate shaft size for standard towing. I've seen this done on several Land Rovers without problems, though it is not specifically designed for this use.

Or, go to

http://www.ssbtractor.com/multi_hitch.html

You will see the "Multi-hitch" which works as a pintle hook a-n-d a ball hitch. This is also a no-modifications-required direct bolt-on. This item is available from many places, including Northern Tool and Equipment, and even U-Haul, though the latter wants over $100 for it. Great for you NATO-wanna-be Syncronauts.

Cheers!
