Howdy list and Happy Friday,

I'm glad I got that off my chest.  It's good to be back.  Thanks for the
kind words.  It's nice to know that I'm not alone in having made a mistake!

The engine in my Scirocco (pretty basic 1.8 JH) runs very strong and I'm
thinking now that getting that Vanagon and doing the transplant might be the
way to go...Are there any opinions as to which kit works best, and/or where
I should start out with this?

I'm going to be moving slowly on this project due to limited funds, but I
found some work space this morning (thanks to a good friend with a nice big
garage!) and barring any unforseen problems, it looks like I'm picking up
this vanagon next weekend, if the engine's out by then.  Very excited!

I too regretted selling my Vanagon. It took me 4 years to figure out that I
really missed it. So I sold my other vehicles ('89 Suburban and '70 Bus) and
found a nice Vanagon for a good price. Sure I had to put $700 into it, but I
am truly happy now.
