Well I'd say that stock brakes should be adequate since my diesel Westy maxes out at 65 MPH and I cruise no faster than 60. So we're not seeing the 75-85 mph or more like the newer vanagons. With that in mind, upgrades of $1500 would seem excessive to me. Now if I use the $1500 towards a 1.9 TD then- then we'd be talking! J. Hembel
