great article, thanks malcom.

but it is completely different for me, as i don't have that sender setup.

i have a set of four senders drilled/gasketed into the wall of the tank itself, one at the bottom, one a few inches above that, another above that, and one at the top. they don't work, and i haven't troubleshot them, except that the bottom one needs a new spade connector on the wire...i'll start from there. the wires come together and come out in the plug that goes into the led panel.

anyone else seen this arrangement? it is not detailed in bentley, anywhere i can find it. what would be the way to test it? i can only assume that as the level lowers, when a sender is exposed there's no longer a current to it, and power only goes to the three senders below. but i don't understand it beyond that (probably wrong) assumption.

two other things: that's a great way to reference david b's message, as i could bypass the search and just go to the message online. thank you.

also, glad you enjoyed interlaken. was there a last trip report i missed while i was on vacation?

take care, and thanks. bill '87 syncro westfalia http://www.scruznet.com/~kasper/pics/westy/
