Hi, I am also sorry to hear about this loss. I'm glad no one was hurt. I just changed my fuel injectors last weekend -- and guess what I found -- a loose hose clamp on one of my injector "short tubes." I had them all replaced 3 years ago, with the correct hose and stainless clamps. The ones on the left got retorqued frequently because I'm always in the engine box doing something else anyway. The ones on the right are under the air filter box, and I've been too lazy to remove the air box to check the torque. That is now going on my oil change day checklist -- apply torque to all fuel injector clamps! Michael Townsend 90 Carat |
