Michael, you said: << My refrigerator is making a loud electric buzz, almost sounds like a grinding. The sound comes from the upper back of the unit. The noise only occurs when it is hot outside. So, thankfully, it is quiet at night. It does not matter whether the fridge is running off propane, battery or electric...Has any one else come across this problem ... and a solution? >> That's the coil fan. It's turned on by a thermoswitch clipped to the coils which will turn it on when the temperature behind the fridge cabinet hits about 120’°F. It will operate whether the bus is running or not. The solution for a noisy fan is to replace it. You can find a fan similar to the original at Camping World, or you could substitute a computer cooling fan.
