Karl, didn't see anything that would be a dead give away for a diesel;
however, my '82 diesel self-destructed on I-275 in the Detroit suburbs one
night in 1989; and there was nothing on the outside that indicated the
carnage in the engine compartment. If it is still there tomorrow afternoon,
I will probably chance a look and get the VIN.
