Underseat systems have been widely discussed on type2.com, surprised
they haven't been here.  Search archives @ type2.com using term
"propex".  Hell, google with something like +propex +VW.  I think
there are a number of pages documenting installation and maintenance.
I recall one by Tom Forhan.  Propex heaters are no longer made, I
think they were bought out by Carver, ho was bought out by someone
else...

I recall Ron Lussier (aka Coyote) installed one in his old 1990(?)
westy.  I had one in my old '76 westy deluxe, but a problem with the
regulator on my tank kept it from working very well and then I had to
sell my beautiful rust-free westy to pay for a blown motor on my (now
very much out of the picture) %@#$%$! Trooper, but that's another sad
story...
