The 84-85 vans are normally wired to operate the fan as long as the AC is on. The 86+ operates the fan in low speed when the compressor is running. High radiator temperature or high pressure in the AC system will put the fan into high speed.

Does the radiator fan run whenever the AC is on for the '87 AC design, or does it cycle by temperature or compressor demand? How hot does it have to get before the second stage (high speed) kicks in? I think the fan runs all the time on my '85 when the AC is on. Are the '87s different? Do I only have one fan speed or two ('85 w/AC)?

Jay
