Subject: Fridges - are they worth it?
Content-Type: text/plain

I keep seeing confusing posts on fridges - such as

"can't use propane while driving - have to use 12V" then "12V - Don't even bother trying to use it" "I can make ice easily" then "Can only cool 40 Deg. F less than air, so if it is 90, than 50 is the coldest you can get"

Do you constantly have to switch from gas to 12V as you run into town, and do the errands???

Then there are all the "Burping" (what the heck is that - p-mail me only) and repair questions.

I have not even tried to use ours yet, except on 120V at home - So....What's the beef ? Are these puppies worth it? And a puppy it is with only 1.5 Cu.Ft With a family of four, 1.5CuFt does not cut it. In fact we took two coolers with us on the last trip. Sometimes, I wish I had the basic model interior with the icebox - simple like those used in boats. I would gladly like to swap out all those apparently potentially troublesome mechanicals for more volume, even if some of that will be taken up by ice.
