******* Actually I think it's more like the 4 speed was only available in the Nth American market. Here in Oz,we've had 5 speed transmissions since the first 1.9 liter wasserboxers appeared back in '83/'84 as did Sth Africa and I'm sure the European market did too.

Come on down & take one back in your suitcase! With our dollar worth FA you can prolly have a holiday and pick up 5 speed for the same price as trying to find a 5 speed and have the conversion done back home...:)
