I say YES! check the archives first. This lets a person ask a more intelligent question. You still get the give and take of a discussion but at a much higher level of discussion. Checking the archives by email is often far superior to trying to do it on-line. It also keeps the traffic down and fewer email in the archives. Not checking the archives is, most of the time just laziness. I do know that sometimes people are stranded on the road and using the archives is not feasible. But I say check and see what other folks have written about the topic first. M2CW Malcolm
