Peder,

Who's post are you replying to? As a former 9 year 928 owner, I can tell you that it is a Vonderful but finicky engine. Expensive to maintain. Take your typical Vanagon parts prices from the VW dealer, multiply it by two and you've got yourself the typical discounted price from the aftermarket. I remember changing a waterpump in 1995. The pump was something like $380 new $150 rebuilt. exchange. There's lots of other parts that may as well be changed while you're at it. Serpentine belt (over six feet long), belt ramps, tensioners.... Next thing you know, the waterpump replacement is a $1500 job. That's not including any labor. Oh yeah, you think the Bentley manual is expensive? Try $281 racers net for a factory manual. Dealer list is almost $400.

just my 15,000 cents, BenT

Sudhir, are you reading this???????
