the 914 had the 905 tranny i believe..... i have one of those sitting in my garage in pieces waiting to be rebuilt. i already flipped the ring gear around in it for rear-engine use. i talked to one of my friends who used to race, and he equated the 914 tranny and 928 engine to my T2 tranny and v-6 engine.

i'd really like to use either the msds 350/g50 kit, or a similar one with less expense, but i don't know how i'd get a g50 into the states other than visiting new zeeland(sp?)

btw the 928 has a blown timing belt, half the valves are shot, and all the other junk that happens when the huge-a** timing belt blows up.

anyways, reality calls.

peace, out. -sudhir Sudhir H. Desai desa4622@yahoo.com ICQ: 8255956 AOLim: rawsuds 1984 Vanagon Z34 1996 Jetta (soon to be race ready)
