could there also be a problem with the ("L"?) circuit board behind the speedo unit?

i currently have an oil light/buzzer that goes off at first when the engine gets warm and the tach is between 2k and 3k. but, once the engine is warmed up (on the freeway) it will stay on no matter where the tach is. i have a speedo unit that does not work and my mechanic said that the oil light/buzzer has something to do with a bad "L" circuit (board)?... anyway, i'm replacing the whole cluster in the next few days and will see if that is indeed it.

i'm now also going to check the sender too :-)

just sharing my 2 cents
