Adolf,

check out the radiator cooling fan resistor, which is located behind the left (driver side) headlamp. It's a finger-long porcellaine-isolator with three wires attached. One wire is the input from the cooling water thermoswitch as well as from the A/C relay (first stage), the second wire is the input from the 2nd stage relay. The hurricane stage is routed directly to the fan, without passing the resistor. If you have current on one end of the resistor and nada on the other, the resistor is history. I did a short-circuit on the thermoswitch of the coolant radiator, which provided me with current on the resistor first stage connector without a problem. If the fan does not work then, its the resistor. Short-circuit on the resistor obviously results in hurricane stage. The resistor costs about 35 bucks at your friendly dealer and comes with all connectors. Bad resistors mostly look bad (cracked etc.). Pretty common problem, AFAIK. BTW, do not fall for resistors which look similar at your local junkyard. The similars come from the A/C overhead unit and are in fact different. Cheers Chris
