I bet its raised up an *additional* two DOLLARS per gallon by this moment
in some places.
Supply and demand is substantially the reason rather 100% greed, I suspect.
Let's face it, they can't give the stuff away because there simply won't be
any left until those trucks roll it in.
The price of a brand new TDI just increased too.
An Excursion V-10 is practically worthless.
And every vehicle I have is filled to the max now, and I am still scared.
My wife is getting ready to deliver a baby any day.
But those terrorist pieces of crap, what is their purpose? What do they
really hope to accomplish? And what to be done to them? (If you could find
one!) If I caught one on the way to do a "mission" right now, what would I
do with him/her? Kill him? Maim? Torture? Spit on his face? What would
be sufficient? Death means nothing to them. Torture probably wouldn't
bother them much. It's crazy. A dilemma/puzzle we are placed in, and the
stakes are life and death.
We have all this technology, all these miracles at our fingertips, yet we
are absolutely powerless to do anything to control humanity.
I started to say, "powerless to control pure evil."
But to those bastards, they probably really and truly they are doing the
right thing.
That's what so damn scary about them. They don't perceive themselves as
evil. WE are the giant evil, pure degenerative, wasteful, lustful, society
of sin incarnate. At least, I have a good idea that's what they must
think. Otherwise, we do they strike at us?
And where, do they strike -- but the sin capital of the entire
world: NYC. And the love of money is the root of all evil, so the Trade
Center, I guess.
But why today, of all days?
This thing probably took years to plan out and carry out. Maybe 2 to 3 at
least. How the hell did they get those bombs in the place? Must have been
some innocent looking guy who applied for a maintenance job several years
ago. He moved up the ranks, and then he's turned loose on the
building. He plants implosive detonation devices here and there, all
carefully crafted and placed at the precise points. Couldn't have been all
in a day, surely not. Or maybe he did Labor Day weekend, or this past
weekend. Where are the employment records?
What about our people stuck at various airports -- the rent a cars are all
gone. The airlines are losing money left and right shut down. Business
can't do business. These bastards did a number on us, for sure. What
about that damn Dell computer I ordered that Dell claims was shipped out
Sunday, two days ago?? Will UPS and carriers continue to operate? (I
don't mean to say my problems are important -- its just part of the ripple
effect.)
It isn't just the poor souls in the planes and the Trade Center, and the
Pentagon, and wherever else ( I don't know many details yet ) we all will
feel ripple effects before the week's over, and who knows what's to come.
God help the survivors, and those in need right now. God help those who
are trying in desperation to reach their loved one on the phone, yet
unaware whether he/she is alive or dead.
I feel so guilty just being alive, yet so grateful. But what kind of
quality of live can we all have now?
