Anything will fit in anything given enough motivation. Ease of installation
and budget are two of the biggest factors in swapping powerplant. You didn't
mention what year 924 so I am assuming that it's the early Audi powered ones.
Should fit similar to how most inline-4 VW engine conversion fit.

The later 924s which has a 944 Porsche engine is bit too long. I looked into
it once. These later guys are actually like a 928 V8 with a bank of cylinders
lopped off.

You'd be better off parting the thing out and using the money to do one of
the more mainstream (if there is such a thing) conversions.
