I have not tried "push starting" as I can park Pokey indefinately where she is sitting now in case it takes a while to correct. I do hear some whirring when I turn the key (fuel pump?) > > Any ideas? > > Thanks, > Chris Gronski > '80 Westy "Pokey" - SLOPOKEY > '87 Chevrolet Sprint - Ice Racer > '91 Pontiac Firefly - Convertable Have you tried tapping on the starter or solenoid while someone holds the key in the starting position? If this works, you have the common "hard start" syndrome. A relay kit is available, I believe from Bus Depot. I assume that you have checked the relevant electrical connections.
