I have to be at work at 4:30 am. I had a difficult time seeing the cupholders on the console I purchased that rests between the front seats. I purchased an elbow of plastic electrical conduit (3/4"), a socket to hold a 12 v bulb, a bulb, some wire, a fuse holder, a single pole double throw switch, a resistor, and three red LEDs. I attached the bulb to the conduit and attached it to the console, this provides illumination from above and lights up the compartments in the console. I bored three holes in the console and located the LEDs on either side and between the two cupholders at the front on the console. The resistor in the LED circuit makes the LEDs dim enough to provide just enough light to make the cupholders easily visible and not be a distraction while driving. The double throw switch allows me to select either light.
