I used a 6mm-1.0 tap to cut a couple turns of
threads in the center hole of the stuck heat
shield.  Then, using a stack of various washers
and a bolt, I was able to pull the heat shield
free by threading the bolt through the newly
tapped threads and tightening it a bit.  You need
washers larger than the injector hole and a
smaller one to keep the bolt head from going
through the hole in the big washer.
