Hi,

had two of the mounting "ears" crack off my tank and I replaced them with a couple of bent pieces of polycarbonate. I used polyurethane construction adhesive to glue the new tabs on. Thats not the thin "gorilla glue" woodworking stuff, but the thicker, (comes in a caulkng gun tube), PL Premium stuff. Must be polyurethane, don't fall for the "liquid nails" type of adhesive.

I cleaned and scuffed the gluing surfaces before repairing. The repair is still good after 3 years.

This adhesive works on a range of plastics (but not polyethylene or teflon), and is a good thing to have around the place. One caution, it expands/foams a little upon curing, so you have to watch for glue squeeze-out and clamp the workpiece(s) together well.
