As a search and rescue responder, I have contact with other SAR people throughout the world as well as some inside information. I can tell you that I spent the day yesterday compiling a list of Florida dog teams available to respond to NY for cadaver recovery (by request of the Federal Gov't.) and am on stand-by to go, as are teams throughout the country - and the WORLD. The US has turned down aid from international sources at this time, as we have plenty of resources within our borders. Please be aware that if you notice a lack of international help, it it not because nobody offered. The world is crying with us, and, as we are, are sitting on the edge of their seats hoping for the chance to be able to help.
