I've never been to Los Gatos, don't know where it is,  don't know what the
elevation is,  don't know how steep a climb.  What I do know, is that if you
are climbing moderatly steep hills for anything over say five minutes, you
are asking your motor to produce an incredible amount of work, which
generates a tremendous amount of excess heat, which must be dissipated.

Just a suggestion here: don't turn off your motor for several minutes in
order for your radiator to dissipate that heat.  Hope this helps.
