Subject: Propane Tank Refurb
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I dropped my propane tank yesterday to do some cleaning up and painting. I was able to remove the stamped, metal tag from the tank. It was held on by one spot weld and there was considerable rust underneath. I cleaned up the tank and rock shield with a 3M flexible disk and painted with rust-proof primer. Will finish with gloss white. Any ideas on how to re-attach the tag? Could it be perma-texed on or some other adhesive? Something that would seal it and keep the moisture from getting behind it would be nice. Maybe I should just keep the tag inside somewhere? Are any of the decals that were on the rock shield available? It would be nice to have these to put back on.
