Hi,


This isn't really Vanagon related, but did anyone hear CarTalk last
Saturday?  I heard from someone else that there was a caller who bought a
'99 Eurovan camper.  When he went back to the dealership for something, the
VIN was decoded as a '96.  Then, the dealership had to beat around the bush
and come up with the excuse that Winnebago must have had the chassis for a
few years before they finished the conversion and moved it back to the VW
dealer network.  I don't know if there was any other outcome, or if this is
considered misrepresentation.


Is this true?  Is it a big deal?  Eurobago owners, check your VINS!
