Good points you had. Perception of other's than our own is hard to come by. Just want to mention one thing:

The towers were sturdy but relatively light so as to not collapse during 'normal' loads from their own weight.

The load of the air frames (the planes) and the initial impact and the subsequent burning of both the aviation fuel and the buildings contents weakened the steel supports allowing a relatively (still) stiff upper section to start a domino effect that combined to collapsed the buildings.

Implosion devices (explosive charges) were not needed as you might have originally surmised.

I know it may not seem likely, but modern buildings are holding themselves up in some very unusual ways.

In any case the ramification of this will continue to be felt, even here 3000 miles away, and around the rest of the world. Besides New Yorkers there were other countries representatives in those buildings.
