Subject:      deepest condolences, disbelieve, and support from Germany

couldn't find words yesterday and couldn't work (colleagues did and found it
disgusting). Lived near SFO for 1.5 yrs. and visited NYC twice. Still hard
to express my feelings today. Need to let you know that yesterday noon VW
stopped production at Wolfsburg, Salzgitter (the engine plant), and probably
at all other sites world-wide to express the German people condolences to
all Americans. Here at Siemens, we just had a 5 minutes silence - little
late acc. to my taste. In the (unlikely) event that somebody stranded in
northern Germany, give me a call 0172 405 1654.
