Subject: An oil question
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hi all, My Dad still has a 2.1 in his 87' Westy and he wants to know what grade of oil to use. So I tell him 20-50wt. He tells me that according to the Bentley manual 20-50wt does not cover our temperature range, seems to top out at about 100 F. We live in the Inland Empire of Southern California with summer temps of 60 F as a low to 115 F as a high. The chart would seem to show that straight 40 wt is the correct oil but 40 wt only goes to a low of 70 F. So what are you guys using in hot climates? Thanks, Kevin
