| I cannot help with the install itself, never did one, but I can mention that the cable runs through some tubing under the van on my '86. The tubing has joints that must be watertight. I had a joint open up and water get in there. In the winter it froze up as I was driving (of course while at a high rpm too).

Another problem is corrosion. My accelerator cable rusted and snapped in two last year because of water seeping into the tubing. Naturally, it picked an opportune time...while I was travelling up a steep grade on Vancouver Island.
