Peter, I had my 85 GL up on Jack stands all the way around, but  I always put my
hydraulic jack somewhere on the end where I was working, just as an added
precaution. Kept the tension on it until I was finished. My stands were rated at
3 tons each. Surely overkill, but it felt good anyway.
