I have metal ramps and stands, but for work that does not involve removing the wheels, I use home-made wooden ramps. Use 2 X 8 or 2 X 10" lumber. Fasten two or three layers together so that one end is tapered to drive up. Our vans are high enough that they don't have to be raised very much to get underneath.
