I've already got a law patterned for me *Murphy's Law*. Customs has heavy fines and confiscation procedures for mdse. not properly labeled. It can be confiscated and sold at auction or destroyed and / or the importer must export it out of the country. There isn't a Customs Broker that ever wants to make a mistake because he is also subject to fines and penalties that can be totally outrageous for just a small infraction. Vendors may change the labeling after they have possession of it but I'll just bet it is properly labeled at the port of entry. There are about fifty ways that US Customs can make you suffer if you get caught misrepresenting anything or making false entry statements and most of them involve your money or Brokers License suspension or Revocation. A lot of NoName Chinese crap comes into the US and then a US identifiable name is put on the carton by the distributor or vendor trying to get higher prices for his Chinese crap. I've had McQuay Norris water pumps that say made in the US on the box and the pump says made in China and if course they're right the box is US made.
