Just to set the record straight, the Concorde was built as a joint venture between the British and French aicraft industries. De Havilland was basically defunct at the time. The joint venture was between BAC...British Aircraft Corporation in Weybridge and the French company Sud Aviation in Toulouse. Airbus is not a British company. It is a European company made up of several suppliers in Britain, France , Germany and probably others. Steve Cotsford ( Concorde design participant)
