I would find my local Rust Check (or Krown) dealer and buy a bottle of their stuff and dab a bit on the rust spot every month or so. If you want to fix it, may auto places (we have Canadian Tire) sell a kit the fits on the end of a drill and you can buff out the rust spot, use a "Rust Converter product then carefully spray paint an anti-rust primer then a top coat. Practice on something else to get a feel for it. M2CW - this is what I do on my small rust spots. While I have your attention, be sure to get the ENTIRE van rust proofed every year - it really works up here in Canada's east coast.
