Does anyone on the list have a suburban heater in their vanagon? If so where did you install it? Was it hard to install? Hard to connect propane and electrical lines? Any complaints? Ever run the aux battery down running the heater? How long could you keep the van warm on the 3 gallone proane tank?

This info is much appreciated. For those of you that aren't familiar the Winnebago Eurovans come with the suburban heater. Suburban is the most popular brand of RV heater. Here is my breakdown of heater options for the vanagon:

Type: Cost: Saftey/Other: Gasoline $500 used <$1000 new safe if in good cond, hard to work find/work on Catalytic 50-$100 not safe for sleeping vented catalytic $500 used safe if in good cond. forced air propane $500 new safe if new, good cond electric >$100 pretty safe but need 110V access

Any info greatly appreciated,
