What a hoax!

NASA already has a beautiful compilation picture of the earth at night, where all population densities are visible due to artificial light. I don't think candles are strong enough to make a noticeable difference. Anyway, CIA runs the satellites, not NSA. They won't be interested in candles unless they are listening to your international phone calls where you are talking about candles in Arabic. Now, if everyone with an 86-91 Vanagon turns on their headlights, that would show up since most of the light goes up instead of on the road where it belongs. (RVC)...
